Fireseed Arts: Quickly Becoming a Local Legend

I first met Patiño back in 2019 when I was searching for an interesting Christmas present for my husband. I thought it would be really cool to have a local artist create something for us.
But when I went to pick up the art, I had no idea what was in store...
It was by far the most amazing space I’ve EVER seen.
At the time, Patiño had just begun renting out the studio. There was no question I had to host a party in this venue — it was just a matter of when. Little did I know at the time that the pandemic would arrive shortly and it would be years before I’d be back.
The Coolest Gifts You Never Knew You Needed
Fireseed Arts Studios creates hand-crafted products made from recycled and repurposed materials — everything from serving trays and cutting boards to custom guitars and other musical instruments, sculptures, and one-of-a-kind pieces.
Patiño and his team create "art with a re-purpose." They describe themselves as "a couple of guys with a passion for music, design, and art" who also love woodworking. I had an old Tennyson poem my husband had attached in a letter to me back when we were in high school, so that was the starting point for my project. With inspiration from the lilies and the peacock from the verses, they created two beautiful pieces with laser-etched lettering, cedar, plywood, and other recycled materials. Additional creations from their studio include lanterns, intricate fixtures, furniture, beautiful consoles and guitars made from kitchen cabinets, a guitar created from a vintage suitcase — and even an incredible bookcase built from a baby grand!
The same Christmas I gave my husband the artwork, per Patiño's suggestion, we gave our daughter an unfinished body of a guitar from Fireseed for $30 that she could paint in fluorescent glow-in-the-dark paint and hang in her room. She loved it! The possibilities are limitless, and the more creatively you think, the cooler the results.

Fireseed Arts is also active in the community — they created Barbieri Elementary School's tree sculpture displayed in their lobby, and their art pieces are used in outreach programs with local schools to educate students on the value of repurposing. They've crafted medals and awards for the North American Karate Federation and designed achievement award plaques for LatinX. And in 2024, Patiño was honored as one of Amplify Latinx's ALX 100, the most influential Latinos in Massachusetts.
They're becoming increasingly well-known as an amazing concert venue, hosting local artists, cultural events, weekly yoga, and Ecstatic flow, a monthly evening of heart-opening dance and soul-stirring music.
Which brings me back to the venue...
The indescribable space that tugged at my heartstrings for five years.
This January it finally happened — my husband agreed to let me throw him a 50th birthday party. He doesn't exactly crave being the center of attention and doesn't enjoy the behind-the-scenes details of throwing a party like I do, but he didn't need much convincing after seeing the venue.

It Was More than Worth the Wait
The entire space is art and music come to life — every inch, every corner, every colorful spot of light is beautifully, carefully crafted. Simply magical.
The night far exceeded our expectations. It was the absolute best to see our friends' and family's jaw-dropping reactions as they walked in. It had been unexpectedly snowy and icy all day (crazy stressful for party hosts), and walking into the venue, it was such an overwhelming sense of peace and tranquility, a beautiful calm away from the storm.

Music has always been an integral part of our family. Our daughter, Allie (17) is a musician, and we were thrilled she opened the party with a few acoustic songs, followed by our brother-in-law's WFNX-inspired band, whose indie, alternative, and new age covers kept everyone on their feet all night. It was an evening we'll never forget.
And It Just Kept Getting Better & Better
When the lights went down and the stage lights and dance floor projections took over, the entire room transformed again, into even more amazing colors. The pictures above only capture a fraction of the detail in the space.

In addition to having the honor of our brother-in-law's incredible band perform, we successfully managed to bring about my mother’s life-long dream to see her three grandchildren perform together. Absolutely priceless.

See for Yourself!
Whether you're in it for the custom art, attending a concert or event, or renting or visiting the venue, Fireseed Arts Studios is all about embracing your wildest imagination. Mission accomplished.

While talking with Patiño in 2019, we discovered he’s in the band Los Sugar Kings with one of my father’s former stand-out students, Dan Abreu.
